When in college I used to spend hours playing around with the OS, trying different things and learning. ![]() Or, is there a resource online someone is aware of which deals with installing and running Fedora on Macs?īackground which is strictly not necessary: Fedora was my daily driver until 2009 when for my b-school I got the mac mentioned above, and have since used a mac for my personal uses, and am expected to use Windows at work. Searching a bit shows that Apple makes it difficult to run an OS from a live USB stick, but haven't come across anything which helps fix the problem.Ĭould anyone help me with it? I can provide more details if required. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or how to fix it. I download the Fedora Media Writer and created live usb using another mac, but when I plug it into the target, and restart it while holding down the Option key, the usb option doesn't show up. I have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro running Intel X86-64 Core2 Duo on which I want to install and run Fedora. ![]() I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, so apologies, if it isn't.
